This paper examined the robustness of generalized linear mixed model (GLMM). The GLMM estimates fixed and random effects, it is especially useful when dependent variable binary. It also involves repeated measures, since can correlation. present study used Monte Carlo simulation to analyze empirical Type I error rates GLMMs in split-plot designs. variables manipulated were sample size, group number correlation between measures. Extreme conditions considered, including small samples, unbalanced groups, different each (pairing size measures). For balanced results showed that effect was robust under all conditions, while for groups tended be conservative with positive pairing liberal negative pairing. Regarding time interaction showed, both that: (a) test low (.2), but medium values (.4 .6), (b) pairing, latter.

Bayesian Inference for Spatial Beta Generalized Linear Mixed Models
In some applications, the response variable assumes values in the unit interval. The standard linear regression model is not appropriate for modelling this type of data because the normality assumption is not met. Alternatively, the beta regression model has been introduced to analyze such observations. A beta distribution represents a flexible density family on (0, 1) interval that covers symm...
Generalized Linear Mixed Models for Nominal Data
Nominal variables include unordered polytomous variables and permutations. An unordered polytomous response is one among a set of categories whereas a permutation is an ordering of categories. The categories are nominal in the sense that they do not possess an inherent ordering shared by all units as is assumed for ordinal variables. Using decision terminology, we will refer to the categories a...
Generalized linear mixed models for correlated binary data with t-link
A critical issue in modelling binary response data is the choice of the links. We introduce a new link based on the Student t-distribution (t-link) for correlated binary data. The t-link relates to the common probit-normal link adding one additional parameter which purely controls the heaviness of the tails of the link. We propose an interesting EM algorithm for computing the maximum likelihood...
